2. This is the first time in twenty-four years that my husband and I have lived alone, just the two of us. We met and married within a year, and a year later the first of our four children was born. Though I really loved those crazy, hectic years, this season of life is nice, too. Calm. Quiet. Peaceful.
3. Our new digs in the Neustadt (new city) area of Dresden, Germany.
This is the wide side of a narrow three story house. Our living room and kitchen (and bathroom) are on the bottom floor, my husband's office and storage room (and bathroom) is in the middle and our bedroom and breakfast nook (aka my office) is in the attic space at the top. Apparently this house was built sometime in the 1700s and if you can go by that wall and the old beams in our attic, I believe it. Our kitchen table is a hundred years old.
Interesting PS: Neustadt (new city) is actually the older city and the Alt Stadt (old city) is newer. The old city was completely destroyed in the war and has since been rebuilt exactly the way it was before.
4. Did you check out IndieReCon? If you haven't it's not too late. It's stock full of all kinds of info you need to know if you're thinking about self-publishing or even if you have several books out. www.indierecon.org I highly recommend this online conference.
5. I've been hit with SHINY NEW IDEA! Oh, no. I have too much other writing to do. But...it's so shiny. And new.....
That's my five. Now, I need to get back to writing book 3 of the Perception series. And it's a good one!
How about you? Any plans for the weekend?

Congrats on the move. My husband and I travel to Munich a lot. We love it there. There's always a chance with his job that we might move there. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Hubby and I did a tour through Bavaria last fall. It's beautiful there.
DeleteHoping your move was a smooth process. I can only imagine how the time difference and jet lag are taking their toll. But soon the days will blend to normalcy...or at least something like it :-)
ReplyDeleteWriting as always. It's been a much busier time for me since I decided I wanted to do my NEO Chronicles doing a novella here and a short story there to introduce various characters.
Now that it's so easy (practically) to self-publish, it's also too easy to get crazy busy, right? Me too!
DeleteLovely. Viele GrĂ¼sse an Deutschland! (And, ooh, shiny new idea... can't wait to see what it is!)
ReplyDeleteGuten Tag!
DeleteYes, shiny new idea has a long wait in line. sigh. but still excited about the current wips as well. :)
Guten tag/abend! I can't believe you just moved to Deutschland! I've always wanted to go there, ever since I took my first German class in eighth grade... and then went on to take eight more years of courses! Someday...
ReplyDeleteHope you're settled in nicely :-)
It is pretty awesome. I hope you get to do it someday, especially since it sounds like you already have a handle on the language! (unlike me :)
