I'm author ELLE STRAUSS and welcome to my website!

I write fun, lower Young Adult (teen) fiction to do with whimsical things like time-travel, fairies and merfolk.

When my serious side peeks out, she's called LEE STRAUSS. She likes to write upper YA about real things that have happened in the past, or made up things that could quite possibly happen in the future.

This blog is about books, mine and other fab authors', but occasionally I'll share about other topics.

Thanks for dropping by!

Friday Four or Five

1. I've been unusually quiet on the blog front and I don't know why. I'm not sure if it's just been slow lately-- not a lot of newsworthy stories--or if my brain is just too full and too tired.

2. I'm going to go with swollen-fatigued brain because it seems like there's still a lot of chatter in the blogosphere, so something interesting must be going on.

3. I've put out four books since January and one more coming down the shoot this summer, so that could explain the fat, slow brain.

4. Sorry that this post is all about my plugged up sluggish brain. It's the best I could do.

me trying to figure out my next scene

Happy Weekend, everyone!

  1. You have every right to have 'swollen brain' after putting out 4 books in six months. You are a true book rebel! Breath and take it easy.

Have a fantastic weekend. (btw - I'm so snatching that image. I've been working on a new book and I think I've been stuck in that position for a month. lol)

  2. 4, almost 5, books, since January? Goodness, my brain would be fatigued, too! Here's hoping you have a chance this summer to breathe and recuperate and get your brain back to normal.

  3. Wishing you a Happy Friday. I would guess that pushing out more than one book in less than one year could cause a slight fatigue of the brain. Seriously, how are you not insane yet? :-)

So glad the book push hasn't pushed you away from those of us glad to read your works lol!!!

  4. Four books and it's only halfway through June. No wonder you aren't blogging, you've got word fatigue.

  5. There is a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to blog, a time to rest one's brain...

(BTW, i love the look of your books lined up on the left of this screen. They look so snazzy! Whoot!)

  9. Poor brain. But you know, I'd say it's just the opposite of fat. The more you do, the better shape the ole noggin gets in. If I'm not writing regularly, I get rusty. :p

You are a superstar. You've been working so hard this year--get some rest now! <3
