Beautiful, Beautiful Sun Flares

Is it just me? Or are there a lot more acts of God going on than usual?

Nathan Bransford linked to this video on sun flares, and I thought it beautiful enough, frightening enough and awes-inspiring enough (especially for all you sci-fi writers) to pass along.

  1. There is way more stuff going on than there used to be, it's Mother Earth's way of telling us we're not taking care of her the way we're supposed to. It's the industrial age backfiring on us. The more we learn, the more we have, the more we destroy.
